The new Search Pad feature in Yahoo Search automates note taking through a number of functions, such as saving recently visited links. It does not target the search engine user who's looking for a quick answer, said Yahoo's Tom Chi. Rather, it is aimed at people who are researching complex issues -- from a car purchase to a course of medical treatment.
